The downside of Invisalign braces is not insignificant. It must be worn 23 hours per day to be effective. This means if you are not eating you need to have your trays in. Each time you take a drink of anything but water, the trays should be rinsed to remove any traces of sugar, otherwise tooth decay can be a problem. The buttons that hold the trays in place can make the trays awkward and tricky to remove. Thus, removing in public can be a problem. Invisalign braces are typically more expensive than traditional braces can not correct more difficult problems that traditional braces can.
