<p>People weren\&#8217;t always overweight. A hundred years ago, people were naturally slim, and reasonably fit. Maybe a small percentage of the population had a trouble with weight, but it was much more rare back then that it is now.</p>
<p>Why? A hundred years ago, most people had to put in a serious, and I mean physically serious days work to make a living. That was back when work meant work. Today it\&#8217;s pretty easy to make a living sitting around all day and not putting in too much effort. We are all guilty of this.</p>
<p>Another thing that has changed is the kind of food we eat. A couple generations ago, people cooked every day, bought fresh food from local farmers, and only ate out once in a great while. <p>And I\&#8217;m sure you know how deadly fast food is. Don\&#8217;t\&#8217; get me wrong, I love a trip to the local fast food shop just like the next gal, but I\&#8217;ve no illusions how dangerous it is.</p>
<p>With so many poor choices presented to us, it can be impossible not to eat food made in a chemistry lab day in and day out. What\&#8217;s worse, is eating that kind of food only makes you want it more. It\&#8217;s as if they made it that way on purpose, just to make money.</p>
<p>One thing that most people don\&#8217;t even know about is how this kind of eating affects your digestive tract, or your bowels. This food can leave a horrible legacy in the form of parasites that live inside you, and cause a myriad of additional health problems. Let\&#8217;s face, we are a fat nation filled with fat people that can\&#8217;t get enough to eat. Even if you don\&#8217;t consider yourself fat, you probably wouldn\&#8217;t object to being able to easily lose a few pounds, right?</p>
<p>An interesting thing about nations of the world is that as they become more developed and rich, the people get fatter. Most developed countries today are filled with fat people, or at least people that could stand to lose a few pounds.</p>
<p>Why are so many people in the world today so fat, and more importantly, what can we do about it? How can we get rid of the weight once and for all?</p>
<p>For starters, we don\&#8217;t need to put in too much physical labor to earn a living. Unless you are a lumberjack or something, and chop down trees for a living, you probably sit at a desk. And when was the last time you did fifty sit ups first thing in the morning? It\&#8217;s no secret that people don\&#8217;t get enough exercise.</p>
<p>And another clear reason that so many of us need to put in a heroic effort to button our pants every morning is the stuff we eat day in an day out. Filled with chemicals, preservatives, and other stuff that belongs in laboratory, the food we eat today can\&#8217;t really be all that healthy.</p>
<p>Of course, you don\&#8217;t have to go very far outside of your house or apartment to run into about half a dozen fast food restaurants. These are virtually diet disasters, filled with the worst kind of fats and carbohydrates you can imagine.</p>
<p>And if you are ever hungry, and you go shopping, where are you more likely to head, the cucumber section, or the frozen food microwave section? Or that section of most supermarkets today where they have food that is just as bad as fast food, but smells so good?</p>
<p>And what about the people behind all this? They make billions and billions every year from selling us crap. Do you think they really care if we get all the associated health problems with being fat, or even cut our lives short by ten or twenty years? Nope, didn\&#8217;t think so.</p>
<p>While I wouldn\&#8217;t go so far as to say they designed our whole nation of fat people with profit in mind, but their sure are a lot of people making a lot of money off of people that can\&#8217;t resist stopping by the donut shop on their way home from work.</p>
<p>To truly get rid of the fat, and the weight, we must learn to not only resist the junk that is around us, but get up off our behinds and go for a walk once in a while. It will do you a world of good.</p>
